Science

The DCHS Science department is committed to serving the students of DCHS with the highest quality and most thorough science education in Douglas County. Our highly qualified teachers use laboratory-driven instructional practices to ensure that the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Science are met and exceeded in our classrooms. New students to DCHS should expect hands-on instruction and classroom activities. All students (and parents) are required to sign and will be held to a laboratory safety contract. Every member of our science instructional staff has either completed or is working towards completion of the Flynn Laboratory Safety Certification Course.
