Mission
The Counseling Department at Douglas County High School provides a comprehensive, data-driven program that empowers students to reach their maximum potential academically, personally, and emotionally. The Counseling Department advocates, inspires, and prepares students to become college and career ready by giving them the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be great global citizens. Our Counseling team creates a safe and supportive environment that fosters student resilience. We collaborate with all stakeholders to advocate for equity, access and success for all of our students.
Vision
All graduates from Douglas County High School are lifelong learners. Our graduates demonstrate resilience by achieving their goals regardless of personal circumstances. They are responsible, productive citizens, and independent thinkers who are active in their community and are empathetic to all mankind. Douglas County High School graduates excel in the global marketplace because they are culturally competent and self-aware.
