Program Overview

The CHAMPS After school Program provides an enriching experience to all of its participants.  The program is designed to help improve and increase academic performance, as well as foster social and cultural development.  Opportunities for this development are provided through engaging and enriching activities.

Program Information

  • This is a FREE program for qualifying students (Grades 9-12)
  • Parents are required to attend an orientation session during which the registration process is conducted.
  • Program hours are from 3:45 – 6:45 pm Monday through Thursday (we are not in session on half or early release days).
  • Daily attendance is a requirement of the program.
  • The CHAMPS Program follows the discipline policies of the Douglas County School System.

Program Activities

  • Daily Supper/Dinner
  • Academic extension lessons/Tutoring (Math, Language Arts, Science & Social Studies)
  • Daily Snack
  • Enrichment: Robotics, Gardening, College & Career Prep, Crafting, Character Education etc.

Transportation

Transportation is provided for all CHAMPS students who reside in the Douglas County High School zone.
