About Us

Since opening as the county's first high school, Douglas County High School has been a pillar of the community with a rich history and commitment to excellence in education. Conveniently located on Campbellton Road in the Douglas County Historic District, our school is situated less than a mile from downtown Douglasville, fostering a strong connection with the heart of the city. With the distinction of being the largest high school in Douglas County in terms of enrollment, we proudly compete in Region 5AAAAAA for athletics and activities.
We offer a comprehensive and diverse curriculum to meet the varied interests and aspirations of our students. Our daily schedule allows for an in-depth and focused learning experience. DCHS prides itself on providing a wide range of classes to ensure that every student has access to a well-rounded education. In 2006-2007, Douglas County High School began offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The IB program not only emphasizes academic excellence but also fosters outstanding communication, problem-solving, and social skills, encouraging active extracurricular involvement and community service. As one of the 34 diploma programs in the state of Georgia, Douglas County High School's IB program is dedicated to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are prepared to excel in the global arena.
