Lithia Springs High Closed Friday Due to Water Main Break

Dear Lion Nation:

Lithia Springs High School Lions experienced a water main break Tuesday that required students to stay home from school.

Unfortunately, there are some final adjustments that need to be made to our facility before we can welcome back students.

Due to this emergency, we are making the decision to cancel in-person classes once again at Lithia Springs High School. Students will NOT report on Friday. However, faculty and staff must report.

******Students WILL return to in-person learning on Monday, February 2.
Instruction will continue on Friday through digital learning. ******

Grab-and-Go lunches will be provided Friday, January 30, for LSHS students. Parents, if your child would like a lunch, you must call Cafeteria Manager Sabrina Gaskin to order by 10 a.m. on Friday at 770-651-6752. Once ordered, the lunch can be picked up Friday from 12-1 p.m. Please enter in the bus ramp to access the cafeteria.

That day will again be a digital learning day for Lithia Springs High School students. All students should log into Google Classroom to join their classrooms beginning at 8:20 am. All students must have their cameras on during instruction. Attendance will also be taken during this time.

Please be assured that we are working closely with our District Operations department around the clock to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Nuestra escuela experimentó una rotura principal de agua el martes que requirió que nuestros estudiantes se quedaran en casa. Desafortunadamente, hay algunos ajustes finales que deben hacerse en nuestras instalaciones antes de que podamos darle la bienvenida a los estudiantes.

Debido a esta emergencia, estamos tomando la decisión de cancelar las clases presenciales una vez más en la Escuela Secundaria de Lithia Springs. Los estudiantes NO se reportarán el viernes. Sin embargo, la facultad y el personal deben reportarse.
Los estudiantes regresarán al aprendizaje en persona el lunes 2 de febrero.

La instrucción continuará el viernes a través del aprendizaje digital. Ese día será nuevamente un día de aprendizaje digital para los estudiantes de la Escuela Secundaria de Lithia Springs. Todos los estudiantes deben iniciar la sesión en Google Classroom para unirse a sus clases a partir de las 8:20 am. Todos los estudiantes deben tener sus cámaras encendidas durante la instrucción. Durante este tiempo también se tomará asistencia.

Tenga la seguridad de que estamos trabajando continuamente con nuestro Departamento de Operaciones del Distrito para resolver este problema lo antes posible.
