Principal
Andre Weaver was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Banneker High School in College Park, Georgia. From Banneker, he attended the State University of West Georgia. He graduated in December 2001 with a degree in Secondary Education Social Studies. Immediately he started working at Douglas County High School in the Social Studies Department, where he taught Geography and Citizenship to 9th Graders for 3 1/2 years. During this time, he attended Jacksonville State University and received his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. In 2005, he became an Administrative Assistant. He spent a year in this position and was then promoted to Assistant Principal for the 2006-2007 school year. While serving as an Assistant Principal, Mr. Weaver received his Educational Specialists degree from Central Michigan University. In June 2015, Mr. Weaver became the principal of Douglas County High School. Mr. Weaver is currently working on his Educational Doctorate degree through Capella University.
